For any combination of absences and tardies that equals more than 3 absences, the student will be dropped.

Any behavioral issues will result in the student being dropped from the summer program.

·     Transportation / Bussing for Elementary Summer Program students:

Transportation will be provided by district buses to and from the home school (where the student attends school during the regular school year).

It is the parents’ responsibility to make arrangements for students to be picked up from the bus stop at the appropriate time at their home school and that arrangements have been made when they are dropped off at the home school bus stop at the end of the summer program day.

Limited transportation services will be provided to students who live outside the walking area of their home school. Students who are bussed to school during the regular school year because of home address/location will be picked up and dropped off at a designated bus stop or at the home, pending transportation routes. If parents have a question in reference to this, please contact your student’s principal.

ATTENDANCE and BEHAVIOR POLICY

Summer school is a very compressed method of delivering material, and time is very valuable.

·      Therefore, students will be allowed only 1 absences for each session (grades 7-12).

·      On the first absence, the administrative team will meet with the student and student’s teacher to develop an attendance contract and at the time come up with conditions and agreements for the student to follow. It does not matter whether the accumulated absences are excused or unexcused.

·      Three (3) tardies will equal one absence.

·      Any behavioral issues may result in the student being dropped from summer school.
